Newton Pilot Day-Date

It was Isaac Newton (1643-1727) who combined his findings with those of other researchers, thereby laying the foundation for the accurate measurement of time. This knowledge of time was in turn the prerequisite that significantly advanced modern navigation and enabled many scientists, ship captains and aviation pioneers to explore the world more accurately. The Newton Pilot Day-Date series from DAVOSA is a tribute to the inventor of our time.

    NEWTON PILOT DAY-DATE

    FIRST-CLASS MANUFACTURING AND DESIGN QUALITY

    The Newton Pilot Day-Date Automatic combines a clear design line with a multitude of carefully crafted details. The additional functions, date and day display, are discreetly concealed by the tone-in-tone lacquering in the colour of the dial. The "12 o'clock" position is marked by a triangle; in the past, pilots had to take a quick glance to recognise the position of the hands without a doubt in order to reliably read the time. A stylised aeroplane motif with a red tip on the second hand takes up the theme of "flying" in detail.

    RELIABLE READABILITY

    INSTRUMENT-LOOK DIAL

    A striking triangle marks the "12" o'clock position; in the past, a cursory glance had to suffice for pilots to recognise the position of the hands beyond doubt in order to reliably read the time. The large Arabic numerals and additional indexes on a black background as well as the diamond-shaped hands underline the good readability. In addition, all elements are noctilucent thanks to the use of the latest luminous material SuperLumiNova BG W9, which illuminates the dial with a blue glow in the dark.
