For a long time, the pocket watch dominated timekeeping. Then, however, the watch moved from the waistcoat to the wrist, mainly for practical reasons. However, the desire for a quick view of the time was a slow process - an evolution, as was the development from round to shaped cases at the turn of the century. The DAVOSA Evo 1908 watch series offers something like a snapshot from this transition.

    CONTEMPORARY INTERPRETATION OF A CLASSIC

    The highly polished stainless steel case with finely satin-finished details still shows distinct curves as a reference to pocket watches. Measuring 39.5 mm by 36 mm, it has a barrel-like, so-called tonneau shape. Also, the hour and minute are still displayed separately from the seconds. Last but not least, the classic model adopts the guilloché pattern in its dial design.
