Original DAVOSA watches are labelled with a serial number and are supplied with a certificate of authenticity. If in doubt, you are welcome to contact us to check the authenticity of your watch.

The exact operation varies depending on the model. Basically, the following applies:

• First position (crown pushed in): Manual winding of the watch.
• Second position (crown slightly pulled out): Setting the date and special functions such as the GMT display (if available).
• Third position (crown fully pulled out): Setting the time.

The power reserve of your DAVOSA watch is between 38 and 68 hours in motion when it is fully wound. If you do not wear your watch, a watch winder is recommended to keep the mechanism active.

The water resistance varies depending on the model. Please note the water resistance indicated on the dial or case back (e.g. 5 ATM, 10 ATM). Please also note that water resistance can be affected over time by temperature changes and shock loads.

3 ATM: Splash-proof, direct contact with water not recommended

5 ATM: Swimming and showering not recommended

DAVOSA offers an international guarantee of 2 years from the date of purchase. This guarantee covers material and manufacturing defects. The exact conditions can be found in the guarantee booklet enclosed with your watch.

The guarantee applies to defects in material and workmanship. Damage caused by improper handling, normal wear and tear, accidents or self-repairs are excluded from the warranty.

Yes, mechanical watches can be affected by strong magnetic fields (e.g. from loudspeakers, mobile phones or electric motors). A magnetic field can slow down the movement or even bring it to a standstill by temporarily magnetising the fine components inside the watch. An authorised service partner can treat your watch with a demagnetising device. This process is simple, quick and returns the movement to its normal state.

Regular maintenance every 3 to 5 years is recommended, especially for mechanical models. During this maintenance, the watch is cleaned, oiled and checked to ensure long-term functionality.

Avoid extreme temperatures and strong magnetic fields. Protect your watch from knocks and drops. Clean the case and strap regularly with a soft cloth. Have the seals and water resistance checked every 2 years.

Yes, if you state your wrist size in response to the order confirmation, we will adjust the bracelet for you free of charge so that it fits perfectly.

We do not currently offer custom-made or personalised watches.

The service time for a watch depends on the scope of the work. A complete overhaul usually takes around 2 to 3 weeks. For special requirements, we will inform you individually about the processing time.

Although automatic watches are precise mechanical masterpieces, their running costs are minimal. Regular maintenance every 3 to 5 years ensures that your watch remains reliable in the long term.
